Big Als Snowsports is Methven's premier specialty ski/snowboard rental, repair and retail store located in the heart of the Methven Village at the base of New Zealand's Mt Hutt Ski Area and with many smaller club and commercial ski fields close by.

Big Al's Snowsports offer ski and snowboard equipment for sale or rental. 

Snowboarding : We carry a large range of snowboarding equipment, we are the authorised dealer for Burton, Salomon & Flow brands.

Skiing: We stock a range of K2, Salomon and Dynastar skis. Our binding ranges are Salomon and Marker. Our boots are selected models from Salomon and Lange.

Clothing: We have a selection of styles from major overseas and New Zealand companies which provide outerwear most suited for conditions in the New Zealand mountains. These include styles from Burton, Bonfire, Columbia, Spyder, Volcom and Huffer.

Renting: We also hire Mountain bikes both hard tails and some full suspension models are available.

Big Al's is open in the summer for all bike repairs and servicing.
Providing parts and accessories from shimano, Sram, maxis and other quality brands.

Sales of bikes in the following brands Merida, GT , Cannondale, Trek , Kona, Masi, Haro , radius, marin, mongoose.

There is a Shimano qualified mechanic with over ten years experience available for advice and repairs.
