The business provides this service to farmers throughout Canterbury and extends to clients in North and South Canterbury.
Our services include the sampling by probe of all silage – baled, stacked and pit and the cutting of grazing crops for winter feed to assess the kilograms of dry matter per hectare. We probe to 1.7 metres to obtain a representative sample for analysis, a method more accurate than sampling by hand. We also measure silage stacks and pits to assess the total kilograms of dry matter plus GPS is available to measure paddock size.
Samples can be tested for Dry Matter in house or sent to Hill Laboratories in Hamilton for ME or Full Analysis testing.
We are also approved sampling agents for DDT soil testing.
