ATS have identified a significant need for Members to have access to more detailed information regarding the use of Energy on Farm and have introduced a number of new initiatives. These initiatives are about supporting members in their decision making to allow them to reduce their on farm input costs for energy.

The recent activity in the local market with regards to electricity has reinforced our view that ATS Members need to work together to achieve an outcome that is beneficial for the farming community rather than be divided. Many members have found the energy sector to be very confusing, accounts are hard to read, farmers have appreciated having some impartial advice to provide guidance on the management of their electricity, particularly for irrigation.

ATS Energy Newsletter - Short Circuit

The Short Circuit newsletter has been introduced to ATS Members to provide specific information on the energy sector and electricity use on the farm. This publication will be produced bi-monthly and can be downloaded below, or can be sent to those who register online. To receive the ATS Energy Newsletter electronically, along with other relevant energy information updated via email and/or TXT please complete the form below. Estimated Accounts – Providing Customer Reads

For Genesis Energy

You can provide customer reads to Genesis if you have been having estimated accounts or have a meter that needs read and is not accessible for them to read. These reads have to be into Genesis no later than the 12^th of the month to ensure the reads are billed same month.
You can phone them in on 0800 600900 or e-mail business@genesisenergy.co.nz

For Meridian Energy

You can provide customer reads to Meridian if you have been having estimated accounts or have a meter that needs read and is not accessible for them to read. These reads have to be into Meridian no later than the 10^th of the month to ensure the reads are billed same month.
