About Us

ATS is a rural supplies co-operative based in Mid Canterbury. Formed in 1963, it was set up by local farmers who were seeking a means of achieving lower input costs for their farming businesses.

Today ATS has a growing membership of more than 3,000 shareholders, operates three retail outlets in Ashburton, Methven and Rakaia and has a team of around 50 full-time staff.

ATS, lowering costs for farmers

Pro-Active NZ Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of ATS which sources generic chemicals and animal health products from overseas and imports them to New Zealand. In addition, the company distributes the Adria New Zealand agri-chemical range in the South Island.

WaterMetricsNZ Ltd is owned 50% by ATS and formerly traded as Canterbury Water Meters. ECan has approved the company as a service provider for the installation, data logging and monitoring services. For more information, click on http://www.watermetrics.co.nz/index.html
